Hazelnuts, browned butter and sugar are perfect sprinkles.
Ingredients
- 250 gram hazelnut kernels
- 200 gram sugar
- 100 gram wheat flour
- 100 gram browned butter
This is a recipe I have used several times as a crazy item when I do cooking assignments. It is easy to make, tastes great and can be stored for a long time in an airtight container.
Step 1
Start by mixing sugar, hazelnuts and flour in a blender until it has a coarse sandy consistency.
Step 2
Melt the butter and brown the butter. You do this by boiling the butter on medium + heat. When it stops bubbling, it takes a few seconds before it turns brown. Then you smell a nutty smell and the browned butter is done. Do not wait too long as the butter will burn.
Step 3
Pour the butter together with the dry and mix together in the blender. Spread / pour the dough over a baking tray with baking paper and bake in the oven at 200 degrees for 10-15 minutes until the dough has a golden color and the sugar has melted together. Let this cool down and put back in the blender. Run for a few seconds and you have a perfect Crumble. Store in an airtight box until you are ready to use it.
