Everyone loves good meatballs. This is a good recipe for spicy meatballs.
Ingredients
- 1 kg minced meat
- 3 pcs shallots
- 4 cloves garlic
- 1 pcs red chili
- 2,5 dl breading flour
- 1 pcs egg
- 1 dl neutral oil
- 3 tsp salt
- 1 tbsp oregano
- 1 tsp cayenne pepper
- 1 tbsp smoked peppers
Meatballs go perfectly with pasta, barbecue skewers, pizza, soups and many more dishes. Therefore, this is a smart ingredient to make up in larger portions and freeze. Then you can quickly conjure up delicious dinners for a long time to come.
Step 1
When I make forcemeat products such as meatballs, it is important that all the ingredients are cold. This gives you a better consistency. I start by filling a large bowl with minced meat and start by adding the salt and spices. Mix well (preferably with your hands) until the meat has a slightly sticky consistency.
Step 2
Finely chop shallots, chili and garlic and fry soft and glossy in neutral oil.
Step 3
Cool down. After you have mixed the spices well into the meat, I add eggs and breading flour.
Step 4
Mix further together and finish with the onion mixture you have fried.
Step 5
Mix until the meat has a smooth and slightly sticky consistency. I usually use my hands when I do this, but it also works great to use the kneading hook in a food processor,
Step 6
Lay out plastic wrap on the bench and start rolling small round meatballs. I'll finish this before I start frying.
Step 7
Pour well with neutral oil in one or more frying pans and fry the meatballs until they have a golden and nice color. I fry on medium heat. Place the fried meatballs in a pan or bowl.
Save on the oil you fry in because it has got a lot of delicious taste and fits perfectly in a tomato sauce. I usually make a dinner with meatballs when I first do this job, but the rest I freeze in appropriate portions. Having homemade meatballs in the freezer allows you to make many good dinners very easily later. Good luck.
