Stuffed pasta tubes - looks delicious and tastes fantastic
Ingredients
This is what you need
- large pasta tubes
- Italian meat sauce
- parmesan cheese
- fresh basil
- silicone pan or other type of fireproof pan
Italian Meat sauce
- 2 pk minced meat
- 2 pcs onion
- 3 pcs carrot
- 3 pcs celery sticks
- 2 pcs red chili with seeds
- 8 cloves garlic
- 1 tbsp red wine vinegar
- 3 tbsp tomato puree
- 2 bokser canned tomatoes
- 3 dl chicken broth
- 1 tsp salt and pepper
- 2 tsp sugar
- olive oil
It takes a little longer, but not much. The first thing you need to do is make a meat sauce. Being able to make a good meat sauce with tomato takes some time, but it tastes absolutely fantastic and contains a lot of vegetables. When you first make this dish, feel free to make a double or triple portion. You can use this sauce for pasta, on a pizza, cheese sandwich or for a lunch with some good slices of bread and a salad.
Step 1
Start by cutting the vegetables into small pieces.
Step 2
Fry the minced meat on high heat and set aside. When you have fried all the minced meat, add all the vegetables (finely chopped) and fry in oil until it is soft and golden.
Step 3
Add tomato puree and sugar to fry for a few more minutes. Pour in the red wine vinegar and cook for another minute. Pour in the minced meat, the canned tomatoes and the chicken broth. Turn down the heat and simmer in the pan for 1-2 hours. It really only gets better and better the longer it is allowed to cook. Feel free to add some fresh basil just before serving. Remember to taste if the dish needs more salt before serving. A very good meat sauce !! Freeze the rest or put a box in the fridge if there are not many days until you need to use the rest. When the meat sauce is done, you are ready to start with the pasta. Remember that you can make the meat sauce in advance. Start by boiling the large pasta tubes until they are al dente (this means that there is still some chewing resistance in the pasta). Boil the pasta in plenty of water with a little oil and plenty of salt. When the pasta is ready, pour off the hot water and rinse the pasta tubes in cold water, pour a little olive oil on the pasta and stir gently. Find a pan and grease with a little more olive oil.
Step 5
Place the pasta standing in the pan. Fill the pasta tubes with meat sauce and squeeze some extra sauce on top.
Step 6
Put the whole pan in a preheated oven at 225 degrees. Let it cook for 15 minutes. The easiest way to get them out of the pan is to put a baking paper on the pan and a board / cutting board on top of it. Turn around and carefully remove the pan.
Step 7
Use a spatula to move the pasta towers onto the plates.
Step 8
Pour a little more meat sauce on top. Sprinkle with a little grated parmesan and a few good drops of olive oil. Garnish with some fresh basil and serve piping hot. This is a fun and inviting way to serve an old classic. Good luck.
