Smashburger - The American Diner trend gives you good burgers in a very short time!
Smachburger = Crushed burgers
Ingredients

- 400 gram minced meat
- salt and pepper
- butter for frying

- 2 pcs hamburger bread
- 4 pcs lettuce leaves
- 4 pcs tomato slices
- 2 tbsp hamburger dressing (preferably homemade)
- 2 pcs rings of red onion
Smachburger is incredibly quick and easy to make. This dish is popular dinner at American Diners and it is not without reason. The crispy thin burgers with cheese in between taste simply incredibly good. The fact that it also does not require a job makes this the perfect everyday burgers.
Step 1
Take the minced meat (minimum 15% fat) out of the package. Divide it carefully into 4 equal parts. Carefully shape these into large meatballs. It is important that you do not squeeze them together, because the small air pockets help to create the good taste and crusts. Season the bowls well with salt and pepper.
Step 2
Fry the hamburger breads in a dry pan first so they get a nice crust. This is important to get the best possible burger. This creates a crust that prevents the dressing from running down into the burger bread and makes it soft.
Step 3
Use high heat in the pan and put in a little butter. Place the "meatballs" in the pan at a distance from each other. Now comes the reason why these are called Smashburger! Use a spatula without holes or something else hard to crush the burger until it is about 0.5 cm thick. Do not stir the burger after it is crushed.
Step 4
Bake for 1-2 minutes until you see the edge begin to get a nice crust and a little meat juice trickles on the top of the burger. Turn quickly and place on a slice of cheese. Bake for another minute on the other side and place a burger on top of the other. Now the smash burger is ready.
Step 5
