I got the challenge from some of my followers if I could make the optimal vegetarian burger and I love a challenge. I have tried several different versions and adapted for perfect taste, consistency and crust. I was based on recipes from the most skilled chefs at popular vegetarian restaurants in the United States. The result was surprisingly good! Of course, this is not the same as a meat hamburger, but if you want meat-free, this recipe can really be recommended. Here I will show you how to make some really good accessories.
The first step is to make Umami Burgers. I have explained this thoroughly in this post. Umami Burger Vegetarian - Juicy, full of flavor and perfect crust
You can choose the accessories yourself, but I like tomato, fresh salad and pickles. In addition, I made caramelized onions that are magically good on burgers.
Fry the burgers in butter until they get a nice crust. Towards the end of the time, add the desired cheese. I used cheddar today. Let the cheese melt.
I made a quick video on how to assemble the burger. PS Remember to bake the bread so it gets a crispy skin. This prevents the sauce from flowing into the bread and gives a better consistency.
I still prefer burgers of meat, but this was an incredibly good option! Good luck.
