American pancakes - Thick good pancakes with maple syrup
I get water in my mouth and it's hard not to smile when it comes to a dish of American pancakes.
Ingredients
- 5 dl wheat flour
- 75 gram real butter
- 2 pcs egg
- 3 tbsp sugar
- 1 tsp salt
- 3 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 3 dl cultured milk
- 1 dl half-fat milk

- maple syrup
- butter for frying
- fresh berries
If you have not tried American pancakes, it's really time. These thick and sweet pancakes are very good and are topped with maple syrup. It is also good with jam and fresh berries for this. Here you get a very good recipe that is easy to make.
Step 1
Start by putting the butter in a saucepan and melt on medium heat.
Step 2
When the butter has melted, add cultured milk, half-fat milk and the eggs. Stir well.
Step 3
Measure out and mix together all the dry ingredients.
Step 4
Mix together the dry and the liquid until you get a fairly even mixture. Do not use the machine or mix it for too long. Put the whole bowl in the fridge for 15 so that the batter has time to swell.
Step 5
Fry the pancakes on medium heat in a frying pan with butter. Fry on one side until you start to see some small holes on the top. Then turn the pancake and fry on the other side.
Step 6
Stack the pancakes in the height of a dish or plate and pour over plenty of maple syrup. Serve steaming hot and enjoy.
