Bacon seasoning - Magic for Bacon Lovers

The perfect spice for those who love bacon!

  • 400 gram bacon
  • 3 tbsp maldon salt
  • 1 tbsp smoked peppers
  • 1 tbsp pepper mix
  • 1 tbsp mustard powder

This bacon salt gives bacon flavor to everything you want. Perfect in dishes, sprinkle a little on a fried egg, white fish or as a topping on a slice of bread with liver pate or a vanilla ice cream. I love bacon and could probably write a hundred places until I think bacon fits well, but here it's just to use your imagination. Remember that the spice is quite salty so be careful with the amount. The advantage is that the salt also preserves the bacon and you can store this for a long time in the fridge in an airtight glass.

Step 1

Start by setting the oven to 180 degrees hot air. Find a baking tray and place on baking paper. Spread the bacon in a layer on the paper and cook for 25-35 minutes. The bacon should have a completely dark color, but not be burnt.

Step 2

When the bacon is done cooking, place it on paper towels and cover with paper towels as well. Gently press down to remove any extra fat. Let the bacon cool completely.

Measure out the spices and find a blender or food processor. Put the spice in the bottom and break the crispy bacon into pieces and place in a blender. Run to a sandy consistency.

Now your spice is ready to use. Pour into a glass with a lid and store in the refrigerator. You can of course try different spices with the bacon. I think salt, pepper, smoked peppers and mustard make this bacon spice extra good. Use your imagination and add this to different dishes. Good luck.
