Bolognese gratin - Delicious dinner for a hectic everyday life!

One of the most eaten dishes in Norwegian homes is pasta with meat sauce.

  • 600 gram beef mince
  • 1 pcs onion
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • 1 pcs chili
  • 2 pcs carrots
  • 2 tbsp tomato puree
  • 1 can canned tomatoes
  • 2 tbsp red wine vinegar
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 500 gram pasta penne
  • 3 dl bull broth
  • 1 pinch grated parmesan
  • 150 gram grated cheese
  • salt and pepper
  • fresh basil
  • olive oil for frying

This is a version I think is very good and practical in a hectic everyday life. Making tomato sauce with this method is very simple, you get a lot of nutrition and it tastes very good. The pan can be heated several times and the leftovers go well with dinner, packed lunch or lunch the next day.

Step 1

Start by setting the oven to 225 degrees. Then the oven is hot when the food is ready and needs to be baked. It is also good to make the dish earlier in the day and fry it right before serving. Find a pan and fill it with water. Add 1 tablespoon salt and bring the water to a boil. When the water boils, pour in the pasta and cook it until it is al dente (al dente means that there is still some chewing resistance).

Find a frying pan, preferably with a high edge or a pan, and add a little olive oil. Finely chop onion, carrot, garlic and chili and add to the pan. Cook for a few minutes until the onion is golden and add the vinegar. Let this boil away before adding tomato puree and sugar.

Fry this for 2-3 minutes before adding canned tomatoes and 3 dl chicken / beef broth. Let cook for about 8 minutes.

Pour the sauce over a bowl and run with a hand mixer. This way the sauce thickens and you get all the nutrients.

Pour a little more oil into the pan and fry the beef mince on high heat. Season with salt and pepper.

When the meat is done cooking, pour the sauce back over the meat and mix a little. I think it's good to add a little basil to the sauce as well. Season with salt and pepper.

Find a pan that can stand in the oven and add the pasta and meat sauce.

Stir well so the sauce mixes well and fills inside the pasta tubes. Sprinkle with a little grated cheese and bake in the oven until the cheese is melted and has a golden color.
