Classic pasta sauce with meat - a winner among young and old!
Being able to make a good meat sauce with tomato takes some time, but it tastes absolutely fantastic and contains a lot of vegetables.
Ingredients
- 2 pk minced meat
- 2 pcs onion
- 3 pcs carrots
- 3 pcs celery sticks
- 2 røde chili with seeds
- 8 cloves garlic
- 1 tbsp red wine vinegar
- 3 tbsp tomato puree
- 2 bokser good canned tomatoes
- 3 dl chicken broth
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp pepper
- 2 tsp sugar
- olive oil
When you first make this dish, feel free to make a double or triple portion. You can use this sauce for pasta, on a pizza, cheese sandwich or for a lunch with some good slices of bread and a salad.
Step 1
Start by frying the minced meat on high heat and add to the side. When you have fried all the minced meat, add all the vegetables (finely chopped) and fry in oil until it is soft and golden.
Step 2
Add tomato puree and sugar to fry for a few minutes. Pour in the red wine vinegar and cook for another minute. Pour in the minced meat, the canned tomatoes and the chicken broth.
Step 3
Turn down the heat and simmer in the pan for 1-2 hours. It really only gets better and better the longer it is allowed to cook. Feel free to add some fresh basil just before serving. Remember to taste if the dish needs more salt before serving. A very good meat sauce !! Freeze the rest or put a box in the fridge if there are not many days until you need to use the rest. Good luck.
