Drink of the week: Now the season is here - Two delicious drinks with Rhubarb

Rhubarb, rhubarb, rhubarb ... Not easy to say many times in a row, especially not if you have drunk some of these delicious summer drinks.

Ingredients

Recipe rhubarb puree

  • 2 pcs rhubarb
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 3 dl water

Rhubarb drink with vodka

  • 4 cl vodka
  • 3 tbsp rhubarb puree
  • 4 cl club soda
  • 1 skive lemon
  • 1 stilk rhubarb as a mixing stick
  • a little sugar to the edge of the glass

Rhubarb drink with dark rum

  • 4 cl dark rum
  • 3 tbsp rhubarb puree
  • 4 cl ginger ale
  • 1 stilk rhubarb as a mixing stick
  • mint and raspberry
Ingredients

The season for rhubarb is not that long in Norway, but now you can buy this delicacy everywhere. I had rhubarb at home in the garden when I was little. We always got a small bowl of sugar we could dip the rhubarb in, because rhubarb is quite sour. These drinks give you the combination of sweet and sour. The drinks fit perfectly in the sun!

Step 1

Start by cleaning the rhubarb. The outer shell is quite stringy. Using a sharp knife, cut the shell slightly and peel off the shell. Cut the rhubarb into cubes and place in a saucepan, add water and sugar to boil for 10 minutes.

Step 2

Run smoothly with a hand mixer and set to cool.

Enjoying a drink served in a nice glass is always much more enjoyable. I like to use a shaker or blender when making drinks. Pour all the ingredients into a shaker. Shake well and pour into a glass with ice cubes. Add garnish and serve.
