I love BBQ and if you want to make really good BBQ food you have to have homemade sauce. It is not difficult to make and make a large portion as this has a good keeping durability in the refrigerator. Can be used next to barbecue food as a sauce or to brush meat with for the perfect glaze.
Step 1
Start by slicing the chili, garlic and shallots and fry in neutral oil. Cook until the onion has become shiny and soft. Pour over the broth and cook for 5-10 minutes to give off as much flavor as possible.
Step 2
Now strain this into a new pan and then you are left with an incredibly delicious broth that is the basis for this sauce. Add the rest of the ingredients except the butter. Stir well and bring to the boil. Let the sauce simmer for 15-20 minutes so it thickens and the taste becomes even more powerful. Remember the sauce thickens even more when it cools down.
Step 3
Turn off the heat and add the butter. Let this melt into the sauce and stir well to a smooth and fine sauce. This gives a very good taste and you get a shiny and nice sauce. Pour into glasses and you are now ready to enjoy the summer with homemade BBQ sauce. Watch video of the whole process here.
