Lehsuni can be translated to garlic and murg means chicken. This delicious Indian dish spreads wonderful smell throughout the house when you make it and when you are going to eat it it is actually even better! The combination of spices, butter and garlic is incredibly good. Add some juicy chicken pieces and whole garlic as you approach a real Lehsuni Murg. The great thing about this dish is that it is made in a short time and most of the work is done by the blender. Here I will show you how this dish is made.
Step 1
The whole sauce is made in a blender. Put the spices, garlic, shallots, coriander, yogurt, green chili and tomatoes in the blender and whisk until smooth.
Step 2
Find a pan and melt the butter on medium + heat. Make sure that the butter does not burn. Cut the chicken into pieces and add the butter together with bay leaves and two whole garlic. Cook until the chicken starts to color and pour over the sauce you made in the blender.
Step 3
Cook for a few minutes until you see that the sauce "cracks". You can see that the sauce cracks by the fact that the fat differs slightly from the sauce. Now turn down the heat to lower heat so it only simmer and put on the lid. Now simmer the sauce with a lid for 25 minutes until the chicken is done. Feel free to pick up a small piece of the chicken and check that it is cooked through.
Step 4
Taste the sauce with a little salt and sprinkle with a little coriander just before serving. Now you have made a perfect Garlic chicken. Serve this dish with rice or naan bread. If you like garlic and Indian food you will love this one. Good luck.
