King crab and white asparagus - expensive and very good!
Some of the best ingredients I know of combined together!
Ingredients
- 1 pcs king crab "arm" raw frozen
- 3 pcs white Norwegian asparagus
- 4 skiver parma ham
- 2 tbsp butter
- 2 tsp salt
- 2 tsp sugar
- 0,5 pcs lemon (juice only)
- some fresh herbs
This is an appetizer that tastes really good. Few exclusive ingredients cooked to perfection and served nicely on a plate. I served this starter with guests at home and everyone was brilliantly happy!
Step 1
Start by peeling the white asparagus from the top and all the way down. I cut away the 2-3 bottom cm as this part may be a little trampled. Find a saucepan and add water, salt, sugar, butter and lemon juice. Cook on medium heat for 5-8 minutes until soft, but with a little chewing resistance in the middle.
Step 2
Fry parma ham in a pan with a little oil and place on a drying roll so the fat can drain off. This gives you incredibly crispy slices of Parma ham. Cut into smaller pieces.
Step 3
Clean the raw frozen king crab and try to get them as whole as possible out of the shell. Fry in good butter on medium heat for a few minutes. (I leave the fat from frying parma ham left in the pan for extra flavor).
Step 4
Cut king crab and asparagus into suitably large pieces. Place neatly on a plate and pour over some of the frying butter. Sprinkle with a little crispy parma ham and garnish with some herbs. A beautiful and tasty dish.
