Pimientos de Padrón - One of the best and easiest tapas dishes!
Delicious little green chili with flake salt!
Ingredients
- 20 pcs Padron chili
- 1 tbsp good olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic (with peel)
- maldon salt/ flake salt
This is one of my favorite tapas dishes. This is so simple, yet so incredibly good !! fresh small green peppers / chili fried on high heat in a little olive oil and flake salt. Perfect snack or as part of a tapas table.
Step 1
Buy Padron chili and rinse them well in cold water. Let them dry completely.
Step 2
Find a frying pan (preferably non-stick) and pour in some good olive oil. I crush a couple of garlic cloves with the peel on and put in the oil. This is to give a little touch of garlic to the taste. Heat to high heat.
Step 3
Add the padron chillies and cook for 5-7 minutes on high heat. Keep the pan moving so they do not burn. They should get a little dark areas and "shrink" a little.
Step 4
Place on a plate and sprinkle with a little flake salt. Best enjoyed steaming heat! Good luck.
