Lemon salt - Perfect topping for shrimp, shellfish and fish
Salt with a delicious smell of lemon
Ingredients
- 1 pcs lemon (peel only)
- 1 dl Maldon salt
I learned this trick a couple of years ago and have used it a lot since then. I forgot to share this extremely simple recipe with you! So here comes the lemon salt. When you first try this, you are guaranteed to make it again. It only takes a few minutes and gives it a little extra.
Step 1
I use organic lemons when I use the peel in food. Rinse the lemons well and dry them. Use a zest or grater and tear off only the yellow. It is important to include as little of the white as possible in the peel as this has a slightly bitter taste.
Step 2
Mix the lemon peel with the salt and knead it well together with your fingers. Pour into a small bowl and it is ready to use. The smell is magically good and with this accessory gives you that little extra.
