Marinated Pork Neck - The perfect barbecue skewer!
Delicious barbecue crust and juicy meat with lots of good taste!
Ingredients
- 2 kg pork neck
Spice mixture
- 1 tbsp ground pepper
- 1 tbsp maldon salt
- 2 tsp cayenne pepper
- 1 tbsp onion powder
- 2 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tbsp cummin
- 1 tbsp ground coriander
- 1 tbsp oregano
This is really goodies! Pork neck has a lot of marbling in the meat and is therefore extremely juicy. When you also marinate the meat with lots of good flavors and grill it on a rotisserie, it becomes absolutely perfect. Delicious barbecue crust and very juicy meat. It's always fun to turn a simple and cheap piece of meat into something magically good on the grill.
Step 1
Start by dividing the pork neck lengthwise into 2 parts. Then cut the meat into slices of about 1 cm. Make the spice mixture and pour in the oil so that it becomes a marinade.
Step 2
Using your hands, mix the marinade well around the meat. Cover with plastic and put in the fridge. The meat must be marinated for at least 2 hours, but you get the best result if you let the meat marinate until the next day.
Step 3
When the meat is marinated, find a powerful barbecue skewer. Touch one piece at a time with pork neck and try to get it evenly all over. Press well together.
Step 4
When you have got all the meat, I roll the whole skewer tightly with plastic wrap. This makes the meat more cohesive and has a smoother surface.
Step 5
Now it's ready to grill! Attach the rotisserie to the grill and grill on indirect heat. Try to keep the temperature between 150-200 degrees. Grill for a few hours. When the meat starts to clear, cut off the outer layer and continue grilling. I served the meat in wheat tortillas with coleslaw and homemade BBQ sauce and I can promise it was absolutely amazing!
