Oven-baked lobster with spiced butter - Simple and perfect!
Perfect appetizer that requires little work!
Ingredients
- 2 pcs lobster
- 8 skiver baguette
Spiced butter
- 200 gram dairy butter
- 2 tbsp finely chopped parsley
- 2 tbsp finely chopped tarragon
- 1 pcs lemon
- 2 tsp chili flakes
- salt and pepper
This starter consists of delicious lobster served with good spiced butter and bread. The recipe works best with fresh lobster, but if you use cooked lobster you just have to be extra careful with the heat so it doesn't overcook.
Step 1
The best way to kill a lobster is to stick a sharp knife into its head and split it in half. After you have done this, you can split the entire lobster lengthwise and remove the pope that sits at the very top of the head. Now the lobster is ready for spice butter.
Step 2
Mix together butter at room temperature and the ingredients for the spiced butter. Season to taste with salt, pepper and lemon juice.
Step 3
Place the lobster on a baking tray with the meat facing up, and spread some of the spiced butter over the lobster meat itself. Save some to serve on the side. Put the lobster in a preheated oven at 200 degrees fan. Leave to cook for 5-10 minutes until you see that the meat has turned white and is coming away from the shell. Transfer to a plate with some bread and extra spiced butter.
