Parmesan chicken in a pan- A delicious dinner with everything in the same pan.

Chicken, potatoes and bacon in a lovely cheese sauce.

  • 3 pcs large potatoes
  • 2 pcs chicken breast
  • 1 packet bacon
  • 100 gram parmesan cheese (for topping)
  • cheese sauce (see recipe below)

Cheese sauce with leeks

  • 5 dl whole milk
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 2 tbsp wheat flour
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 0,5 tsp malt nutmeg
  • 100 gram parmesan cheese
  • 2 pcs leek

An incredibly good chicken dish where the whole dinner is made in the same pan. Delicious pieces of chicken, potatoes and bacon bathed in a lovely cheese sauce with leeks. This dinner is easy to make and is guaranteed to be popular. There is a lot of parmesan cheese in both the sauce and the top and gives a very good taste in this dish. If you like parmesan cheese you will love this one!

Step 1

Start by finding a large pan and cover the bottom with a little oil. Cut the paws into thick strips or boats and place in the pan. Season with salt and pepper and mix well so the potatoes are covered with spices and oil. Then they do not get stuck in the pan. Set the oven at 230 degrees and insert the potatoes. While the potatoes are frying, you can prepare all the other ingredients for the dish.

Step 2

Cut the chicken breast into large strips and season with salt and pepper. Fry them quickly in a pan. They do not have to be cooked through because they will be in the oven afterwards.

Step 3

Cut up the leeks and fry the bacon crispy in the same pan as you fried the chicken. Set this aside until the potatoes start to get ready.

To make the cheese sauce, I use a saucepan and add the butter. Let the butter melt down and add the flour. Stir together to a smooth "batter" and dilute with milk while stirring. This is just like making a white sauce. When you have added all the milk, let the sauce simmer for a few minutes. Season with salt, pepper and nutmeg. Now add grated parmesan cheese and leeks.

Step 5

When the potatoes are approaching ready, take the pan out of the oven. Add the chicken and cheese sauce. Mix well so that all the pieces are covered by the good sauce. Spread evenly in the pan and sprinkle with bacon and lots of grated parmesan. Put the pan back in the oven. Let cook for about 20 minutes until you have a nice and golden color on the dish.

Step 6

Put the pan on the table so that everyone can supply themselves or place it nicely on a plate. Decorate with some fresh herbs before serving. For this dish I used some fresh oregano and it goes very well. Now you have made a delicious parmesan chicken in a pan. If you are going to serve this to guests, you can prepare the pan well before they arrive and bake it ready just before serving. Good luck.
