Pico de gallo - A very good fresh salsa.

Perfect for Tacos and Nachos.


  • 4 pcs good tomatoes
  • 1 pcs onion
  • 1 pcs red chili or Jalapeno
  • 1 handful parsley leaves
  • 2 pcs lime (juice only)
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • salt and sugar

I think it is very good with tacos and then Pico de Gallo is perfect. Delicious fresh taste of tomatoes, onions and herbs. To make the best salsa, there are some great tips you need to follow. Here I will show you my tricks and recipe.

Step 1

Tip: when making a salsa, it is important to put some time into the cutting. You get the best result if you cut all the ingredient into very small cubes. In this way, every bit becomes a good mix of all the flavors. Start by cutting onions and garlic. Squeeze the juice from the lime and stir around. Now the onion can be marinated until the other is ready. This gives a slightly milder onion taste.

Step 2

Cut a small cross in the top of each tomato and place on a saucepan of water. When the water boils, put the tomatoes in the water and let them boil for 1 minute. Pick them up and place in a bowl of ice cold water.

Step 3

Now it is very easy to remove the peel from the tomatoes. Remove the peel and divide each tomato into 4 pieces. Remove the "wet" middle of the tomato because here we will only use the tomato flesh.

Step 4

Cut the tomatoes into small cubes and place in the bowl together with the onion.

Finely chop the chili and parsley leaves and mix everything together. Season with salt and possibly a little sugar. Leave in the fridge for at least 15 minutes before serving. Good luck.
