Sugar bread with spelt - juicy and airy cake base without wheat.
Here is a great sugar bread for those who do not tolerate wheat. Juicy and airy result.
Ingredients
- 150 gram sugar
- 5 pcs egg
- 150 gram sifted spelt flour
- 1 tbsp baking powder
It is easy to make sugar bread and it is something that is used in many cakes. My wife does not tolerate wheat so therefore I have come up with this recipe with spelt flour. The result is absolutely superb and easy to make.
Step 1
Start by measuring the sugar and pour the eggs into a food processor or bowl.
Step 2
Beat eggs and sugar to a thick and light egg mixture. Whip a little too long rather than too short. This helps the cake to have an airy and juicy result.
Step 3
Measure out the flour and baking powder and sift this into the egg mixture. Mix together.
Step 4
Pour the cake into a pan covered with baking paper or silicone mat and place in the middle of a preheated oven at 190 degrees below and overheat. Bake for 35-45 minutes depending on the pan. Allow to cool on a wire rack.
