Wonton in chili sauce - A taste bomb in your mouth!
I'm totally hooked on this dish!
Ingredients
Chili sauce
- 4 tbsp chinese red oil
- 2 tbsp kianchang (black vinegar)
- 2 tbsp mirin (sweet rice wine)
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 2 cloves garlic
- 1 tsp grated ginger
- 1 pcs spring onion
- a little salt and white pepper
wonton
- 32 pcs wonton
You can serve this dish either as a small appetizer or as a whole dinner. The sauce is incredibly good and strong. This is a taste bomb and not for those who are afraid of a little chili. If you love strong food this is absolutely fantastic.
Step 1
I start with my homemade Wonton. Here you will find the recipe: Homemade Wonton - Some of the best of Asian cuisine.
Step 2
You also need something called Chinese red oil. I make this myself, but you can also buy it at Asian stores or other stores with a good selection of foreign food. Here is the recipe for the homemade Chinese red oil - The perfect chili oil!
Step 3
Mix together all the ingredients for the sauce and leave it for a few hours in the fridge. When the sauce is allowed to "rest" a bit, the taste is even better.
Step 4
Boil the wonton for 3-4 minutes in water. Pour the cooked wonton into a bowl and pour over a few tablespoons of the chili sauce. Mix well and finish with a little finely chopped spring onion on top. Enjoy steaming heat. Good luck!
