Amaretto Sour - Italian pleasure!

This drink is an Italian delight!


  • 4 cl Amaretto
  • 2 cl sugar brine
  • 1 pcs lemon (juice only)
  • 1 pcs egg whites
  • 3 drops angostura

This is my best friend Ole Kristian's favorite drink. This year I again had the pleasure of visiting Ole Kristian and Karine in San Remo. San Remo is a wonderfully cozy Italian city not far from Nice. When I am so lucky that our friends have their own lemon tree in the garden, there is no doubt that this week's drink should contain lemon. For someone who loves good food and drink like myself, being able to pick lemons straight from the tree is real food porn!


Step 1

Start by filling a shaker with Amaretto, egg whites, lemon juice and sugar brine. Shake very well. Not less than 10 seconds. Pour ice cubes into the shaker and shake for another 10 seconds. When using egg whites in drinks, it always pays to shake in two rounds. First without ice and then with ice.


Step 2

Pour through a sieve straight into a nice glass and drip over a few drops of Angostura. Then the drink is ready to serve.
