I think making sandwiches is fun and you should look for a better lunch for a long time. This beef sandwich has super-thin slices of beef, melted cheese, dressing, browned onions, fried mushrooms and sour pickles. All this sandwiched between two garlic breads becomes a fantastic beef sandwich.
Step 1
I put the meat in the freezer for about 30 minutes. Then it will be much easier to cut jam-thin slices of beef. Mix together the ingredients for the marinade, cut up the steak and add to the marinade. Mix well and leave for a minimum of 30 minutes.
Step 2
I start with the onion because it takes some time. Pour some butter into a pan and cut the onion into strips. Add a little salt to the onion and fry on medium heat until you get a golden and nice onion.
Step 3
Melt butter in a frying pan together with crushed garlic clove. If you have any herbs such as thyme, oregano or similar, feel free to add some of this to the butter as well. Let the butter stand for about 10 minutes on medium heat so it gets a good taste of garlic. Dip the loaves in the good butter and place in a baking dish. Bake with a grill element in the oven until crispy and golden in color.
Step 4
Fry the mushrooms together with a little butter, salt and pepper to the right consistency. Transfer to a bowl.
Step 5
Mix together the ingredients for the dressing and stir well.
Step 6
Fry the steak quickly on high heat. Add the cheese and mix together. Cut up some pickles. The sandwich is now ready for assembly.
Step 7
Start by greasing well with dressing on one of the garlic breads. Add plenty of browned onions, fried mushrooms and pickles. Top with lots of the good steak. Here you have to be generous with the amount so it becomes a proper sandwich.
Step 8
Finish with a little extra dressing on top and place the other bread on top. Squeeze a little. Now you can enjoy an incredibly good steak sandwich just the way I like it. Good luck.
