A dish called "burning love" must be good! Our happy Danish neighbors love good food and this simple dish tastes incredibly good! Delicious soft mashed potatoes with lots of delicious salty bacon. It can not go wrong. A traditional Danish dish with few ingredients that go very well together.
Step 1
Start by cutting the bacon into cubes. If it has skin on the top then cut off this. Put the bacon together with a little oil in a pan and set on medium heat. On a scale of the oven from 1-9 used 6.
Step 2
Cook until the bacon has turned golden and fine. Then add the finely chopped onion and continue to cook until the onion starts to turn brown. When the onion has got a nice color, pour on the power and let it cook until the liquid has evaporated.
Step 3
Peel the potatoes and cut into pieces. Boil in unsalted water until the potatoes are tender. Mash together and add milk, cream and butter. Season with salt and white pepper.
Step 4
Finely chop some parsley and find a plate. Place a good portion of mashed potatoes on the plate and make a hole in the middle. Pour over plenty of fried bacon and top with finely chopped parsley. Good luck.
