Caramelized Popcorn - Crispy popcorn with delicious homemade salted caramel.
This is so incredibly good!
Ingredients
Caramel sauce
- 200 gram sugar
- 160 gram butter
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp baking soda
Caramelized Popcorn
- 1 stor bolle finished popcorn
- 1 pcs caramel sauce
- a little maldon salt
Homemade snacks are always nice. I am very fond of popcorn, but this variety is dangerously good. Delicious popcorn covered with crispy salted caramel. The recipe is simple, but remember that caramel gets very hot, so make sure you do not burn yourself.
Step 1
Pop homemade popcorn or you can buy ready-made at the store. Homemade is best, but both work well. Make enough popcorn for a large bowl.
Step 2
Now we're going to make the caramel for the popcorn. Start by pouring sugar and water into a saucepan and stirring. Turn on the heat to medium + and now just wait. It is important not to stir along the way because then the caramels will crystallize. When you get a golden and nice color, turn off the heat and add the butter.
Step 3
When the butter has melted add baking soda and salt. Then the caramel bubbles up again. Pour directly over the popcorn and mix quickly with two large spoons or similar (ps. remember that caramel is very hot).
Step 4
Spread the popcorn with the caramel directly on a tray with baking paper. Put in preheated oven at 175 degrees and bake for 8-10 minutes.
Step 5
Sprinkle with a little extra flake salt and allow to cool completely. Then you break the popcorn up into small pieces again and now you have perfect little caramelized popcorn you can serve or enjoy yourself. This is incredibly good! Good luck.
