  • 3 cloves garlic
  • 1 klump ginger
  • 1 pcs red chili
  • cornstarch flour
  • 2 tbsp sesame seeds
  • 2 pcs spring onion
Ingredients

Chilibiff is a world-famous dish that is made in several varieties in Asian cuisine. Common to them is a delicious sauce and crispy strips of fried meat. This recipe is easy to make and tastes very good. Serve with rice, with bread or on a table with several other dishes. This one is so popular that the only thing important is to make enough.

Step 1

Start by cutting the steak into thin strips and sprinkle with salt. Find a pan that you pour into cornstarch. Mix well so that the steak is completely covered with the flour and move the covered strips of steak onto a plate.

Step 2

Mix together all the ingredients for the sauce and stir together.

Step 3

Pour the sauce into a saucepan and cook until the liquid is reduced to about 1/4. Now you have a sticky and slightly thick sauce. Taste the sauce and adjust if necessary with a little more lemon juice if it lacks acid, sugar if you should have it a little sweeter or chili if you want more strength on the dish.

Find a frying pan. If you have an iron pan, I recommend using this. Pour in oil so that it covers the bottom with about 0.5 cm. Turn on high heat. When it bubbles well and grinds when you put in the steak, the heat is right. Add 1 and a steak strip and do not cook too much at a time. When you have hot oil, always put the food carefully into the oil and away from you so that no oil splashes on you. Cook for about 1 minute on each side until the meat has a golden and crispy surface. Place in a pan with paper to drain.

When you have finished frying the meat, I pour off the oil and add a little more oil. Turn the heat down to medium and add the finely chopped garlic, chili and ginger. Cook until the onion is shiny and soft. Put the meat back in the pan and pour over the good sauce. Mix well.
