Family stew with sausages and vegetables - easy and fast everyday food!
This is a healthy and very quick everyday dinner. Here I show you some clever tricks to make this dish very quickly.
Ingredients
- 1 pack meat sausages
- 400 gram wholemeal pasta
- 4 pcs carrot
- 1 pcs sweet pepper
- 1 can canned tomatoes
- 3 tbsp red pesto
- 1 dl whipping cream
- 2 tsp sugar
- 1 tsp dryed oregano
- 0,5 pcs lemon juice
- fresh basil
- salt and pepper
I tend to be a little wary of telling how much time you spend on a dish as this is quite individual. I spend less than 15 minutes from the time I start this dinner until it's done on the table. Regardless, it is a quick and good dinner with good taste and lots of vegetables. Perfect for families with children! If there are any leftovers, this dish fits perfectly in a packed lunch for the next day.
Step 1
Start by finding a large pan, a small pan and a frying pan. Pour water into the large pan and add a little salt.
Step 2
Boil the water in the large pan. Heat the frying pan and the small pan as well. In the small pan, add canned tomatoes, red pesto, spices and cream.
Step 3
Mix the sauce and simmer until the pasta is done. Taste the sauce with lemon, salt and pepper. Peel a squash, grate it and slice the carrots and sausage.
Step 4
Put pasta and carrots at the same time in the water in the large pan. Cook until the pasta is suitably soft. This takes from 7-10 minutes, depending on the type of pasta.
Step 5
Divide the sausages into slices and fry until golden brown. Add peppers when there are 2 minutes left.
Step 6
Now it's ready to put the dinner together. Pour off the pasta water so you have pasta screws and carrots left in the pan. Pour the sauce into the pasta pan and stir.
Step 7
Add the fried sausages and paprika to the same pan and mix together. Garnish with a little fresh basil. Now the dinner is ready for serving. Perfect for a hectic everyday life! Good luck.
