Fried rice - Healthy everyday dinner on a low budget!

Fried rice is a well-known Asian dish and is incredibly quick to make.

  • 800 gram finished cooked rice
  • 4 pcs egg
  • 1 tbsp chilisauce
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 0,5 pcs squash
  • 1 pcs onion
  • 3 pcs carrot
  • salt and pepper

This is a healthy dish that consists almost entirely of rice, eggs and vegetables. Therefore, this dish is incredibly cheap too. Have not calculated on it, but here you get enough dinner for less than 15 kroner per person! Chili and soy make this dish tasty. It is not in the way of adding meat, ham, fish or other leftovers if you have. For me today, it was completely simple and served as a vegetarian dish.

Boil rice or use rice from the day before. It is smart to cook a little extra rice the day before and use it.

Find a bowl and add eggs, chili sauce and soy sauce. Whisk together.

Finely chop vegetables.

Find a large frying pan and heat it up so it gets really hot. Pour in a little neutral oil. Fry the vegetables for a few minutes.

Then add the rice and cook for about 1 minute before pouring in the egg mixture.

Stir constantly and cook on high heat. Now the dinner is ready in about 1-2 minutes. Simple, cheap and healthy dinner! Good luck.
