Gladkokken's Saturday Chicken - Loved by young and old!

A chicken stew that is loved by both young and old.

  • 4 pcs chicken fillet
  • 8 pcs amadine potatoes
  • 3 pcs carrot
  • 1 pcs onion
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • 1 pcs paprika
  • 3 pcs spring onion
  • 100 gram mozzarella cheese
  • 3 dl whipping cream
  • 1 toppet ss cornstarch
  • 1 can tomato puree
  • 2 tsp sugar
  • 1 dl creme fraiche
  • 1 tsp paprika powder (to the chicken)
  • 1 tsp salt (for seasoning chicken)
  • 1 tsp cayennepepper
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 1 tbsp balsamic

This is a very good chicken dish with all the ingredients in the same pan. In this dish you have a very good sauce, chicken, potatoes and vegetables in the same pan. It is topped with cheese which gives a delicious au gratin top. The times I have served this, it has been very popular with both young and old.

Step 1

Start by finding an fireproof pan and set the oven at 200 degrees. Cut the potatoes into suitable small pieces and add a little oil, salt and pepper. Put the pan with the potatoes in the oven while you cook the rest of the food.

Step 2

Cut the chicken into suitable small pieces and sprinkle with spices. Find a frying pan and set on high heat. You should fry the chicken quickly on all sides so it gets a little crust. The chicken does not need to be cooked through since it will be in the pan afterwards. When you have fried the chicken, place it in a bowl. We will use the frying pan to make the sauce.

Step 3

Cut up the carrot, onion and garlic and fry in the same frying pan with a little oil. Cook until the onion has become shiny and soft. Add tomato puree and sugar, and cook for a few more minutes.

Mix the ingredients for the sauce in a bowl and stir well. Pour the sauce into the pan and stir well.

Step 5

Put the chicken together with the potatoes and pour over the sauce, mix well. Put spring onions and peppers in pieces and finish by sprinkling over the cheese.

Step 6

Bake in an oven at 200 degrees for 30 minutes. Let it cool down for a few minutes before placing it on the table. This is a delicious dinner with all the ingredients in the same pan. Good luck.
