Grilling breakfast or lunch gives me a holiday feeling. This recipe can of course be varied, but here are some delicious recipes for the whole family. We will make delicious grilled toasters with different toppings. Everything made easily from the grill. Here are some of my favorites and how I make them.
Step 1
I like best to use white bread for this recipe. This is a great way to use up leftover bread if it has become a little dry. Cut the bread into slices, add a little butter on one side and divide each slice of bread into 2.
Step 2
Find different toppings that like to be grilled. Today I will make 3 different toasters: Mild liver pate with bacon, grilled avocado with eggs and brie with orange marmalade. Put everything you need on a tray and go out to the grill.
Step 3
I use a baking tray on the grill in addition to the grate. This is called a plancha. You can also use a frying pan that can withstand grilling, but investing in a plancha makes the job extra easy. I use this plancha for many types of grilling.
Step 4
This lunch is quick to make on a grill. Light the grill and let it warm up. I start by heating all the burners on the grill for a high and good heat in the grill. I start by "toasting" the bread. Place the bread with the butter side down on the rack and grill for a few minutes until they have turned golden and have nice grill stripes. I also gently grease the baking tray with a little oil and start frying bacon.
Step 5
When the bread is ready, I turn off the heat on the side of the grill where the grate is and has only heat under the baking tray. This is so that the bread does not burn. This is indirect heat. Spread the bread over the grate and we are ready to put on the topping. On some of the slices of bread I put a good layer of liver pate, slices of brie on some and we will also grill avocado and fry eggs.
Step 6
Now the lunch is ready for serving! It is fun to grill the whole lunch outside. In this lunch there are flavors for everyone. Now we have made 3 of my favorites, but with the same method you can vary and be creative so everyone gets something they like. My combinations today are mild liver pate with bacon, brie with orange marmalade and avocado and eggs. In addition, I cut up some watermelon and add some Norwegian strawberries. A simple and wonderful lunch for the whole family right from the grill. Good luck! Feel free to watch the video here.
