Grill Tonic - The toughest drink of the year for those who love to grill!

If you serve a barbecue tonic at the next party, it is guaranteed to be remembered. Delicious smoky taste from grilled herbs and a crispy slice of bacon make guests ready for the barbecue dinner.


  • 4 cl Gin
  • 1,5 dl Tonic
  • 1 skive bacon
  • 4 drops Worchester sauce
  • 3 drops tabasco sauce
  • 1 kvist rosemary
  • freshly ground pepper

This is a self-composed drink that is perfect to serve while waiting for the barbecue food. I think this will be a popular drink during the barbecue season this year. It tastes incredibly good and I recommend with a crispy slice of bacon on top as a snack.

Step 1

In preparation for this drink, I fry bacon in the oven or on the grill until it is completely crispy. Let it cool down on baking paper. I buy sprigs of rosemary or other herbs. Place the herbs on the grill so they catch fire or use a burner. Hold the cold glass upside down and let the smoke from the herbs enter the glass. Turn the glass over and add the herbs as a mixing stick. Pour in ice cubes and freshly ground pepper. Pour in gin and tonic and stir. Place a crispy bacon slice on top of the glass and serve.
