Perfectly grilled pepper beef with a sticky and tasty soy glaze! This sauce is so incredibly good and goes perfectly with a delicious pepper beef on the grill. I have also made a video instruction of this whole dish which you will find a little further down in the recipe. Kikkoman soy sauce gives both a very good umami taste and salty taste. Soy can often be used as a substitute for salt in many dishes.
Step 1
Start by shaking whole black pepper in a dry pan. Run in a blender or crush up into slightly smaller pieces.
Step 2
Pour a little neutral oil into a saucepan over medium heat and add the garlic and ginger. Bake for a few minutes before adding brown sugar, kikkoman soy sauce, sesame oil and lime juice. Let cook for a few minutes until the sauce begins to thicken a little. Strain the sauce into a bowl and allow to cool slightly. The sauce also becomes a little thicker in consistency when cooled.
Step 3
Grease the steaks with neutral oil and sprinkle with plenty of roasted pepper and maldon salt. Do this on both sides of the steak.
Step 4
Grill on high heat on both sides. The time depends on the thickness of the beef. Grill until you reach a internal temperature of about 54 degrees and let rest for 10 minutes. Then the beef is about 56 degrees and a perfect medium.
Step 5
Cut the steak into slices, turn them with the meat side up and pour over plenty of soy glaze. Sprinkle with sesame seeds, chili, spring onion and a little coriander. Now this delicious dish is ready to be enjoyed. Watch the video below for instructions.
