Recipe from Masterchef Australia.
Ingredients
- 300 gram wheat flour
- 2 tsp salt
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 280 gram Turkish yoghurt natural.
There is nothing to hide that I am an avid follower of Masterchef Australia. An inspiring food program where I learn many things from the talented participants and judges. Recently they had a 30 minute task and one participant made these yoghurt breads to their liking and got incredible praise from the judges. Then I had to go to the kitchen counter and try my hand at it. You make these delicious grilled yoghurt breads from start to finish in 15 minutes. They also taste incredibly good!
Step 1
Start by finding a grill pan and set on high heat. Mix together flour, salt and baking powder. Measure out the right amount of yoghurt and add to the flour mixture.
Step 2
Knead well and knead for 5 minutes until you get a smooth dough.
Step 3
Divide the dough into 4 equal parts and roll into buns. Roll them out until they are thin, but not so big that they do not fit in the grill pan.
Step 4
Shake off some flour and place the dough directly in the hot grill pan. Bake for 2-3 minutes on each side. Turn around after half the time if you want a pattern with a crust that is square and not lines.
Step 5
Store in a kitchen towel together until serving. A good bread goes well with everything from salads to sauces with a lot of good sauce. A super fast and very good bread. Good luck.
