Ingredients

This classic Korean dish is made in several different versions, but they all have rice, eggs, plenty of vegetables and the incredibly good Gochujana chili sauce. I think it is very good with some meat too, but this is a great dish if you like vegetarian. All the elements are made separately so they get perfect cooking. Finally, it is served nicely and topped with eggs and the good chili sauce. The dish is mixed together before eating. Feel free to vary with vegetables and make your own favorite. Here I will show you my favorite and how it is made.

Step 1

Start by making the classic Bibimap sauce. Mix the ingredients and taste to get a good balance on the sauce. Here you will find some good tips on how and which products you can replace with if you did not find everything in the grocery store. Bibimbap Chilisaus - Deilig Koreansk chilisaus.

Step 2

Boil rice so it is ready when the rest of the dish is ready.

Step 3

You can choose which vegetables you like best. The most common to include are sprouts, mushrooms, squash, carrots, cabbage and spinach. All are cut into thin fine strips and baked separately. They should be fried quickly on a fairly high heat. They should not be soft, but still be crispy.

Step 4

I cook the sprouts and spinach for about 1 minute, drain the hot water and put in ice cold water. Then they keep the color well and taste very good.

Step 7

Now is the time to put this dish together. The dish can be served hot or cold. Start by filling the plate with some rice. Lay the vegetables nicely separately around the entire edge and save some space in the middle of the egg. Lay the egg neatly in the middle.

Step 8

Finish by pouring over well with the Bibimbap chili sauce and sprinkle over some sesame seeds. Just before you eat it, mix it with chopsticks or a fork. This is an incredibly good, fresh and healthy dinner that can be enjoyed both cold and hot.
