This Italian dish is loved by everyone and I have tried many different varieties before I ended up on this recipe. This is based on the classic Italian recipes and adapted to find the best result. It is a must to make a good tomato sauce and a good cheese sauce to make a Lasagna. It takes some time, but the advantage is that you can do this long before dinner. Here you just have to find the red wine and sit down well around the dining table. I always make a great pan when I first make Lasagna. It tastes great as leftovers too. Serve with some homemade garlic bread and a sour salad.
Step 1
Fry the minced meat on high heat and set aside. Cut up onions, carrots and garlic and place in a saucepan. Cook until soft. Add celery sticks and tomato paste and a little sugar. Fry a little before adding chopped tomatoes, beef broth and minced meat. Cook for about 45 minutes and season with salt and pepper. The sauce should be fairly firm and not liquid.
Step 2
Cheese sauce: melt butter and stir in the flour. Add milk little by little and stir well so that there are no lumps. Boil for 4-5 minutes and add ridder cheese and parmesan and a tablespoon of Dijon mustard. Season with salt, pepper and nutmeg.
Step 3
Place in layer in a fireproof casserole. Start with cheese sauce, pasta plates and meat sauce. Try to get four layers and finish with cheese sauce. Sprinkle with a little extra parmesan, a little olive oil, salt and pepper.
Step 4
Bake in the oven on hot air for 25 minutes at 200 degrees. Remember to let the lasagna rest for 10 minutes before serving. Serve with a fresh salad and garlic bread.
