Make your own chili sauce - "Habanero sauce" - Warning HOT!

Habanero is a very strong chili, but also the one that has the most fruity and best taste.

dl chili sauce
  • 9 pcs red chili
  • 5 pcs habanero chili
  • 4 cloves garlic
  • 3 dl water
  • 2 dl Heinz ketchup
  • 3 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tbsp red wine vinegar

It's easy to make your own chili sauce and you do not have to buy industrially produced sauces that you do not really know what they contain. The best part is that it also tastes much better! Pour the sauce into a pretty bottle and put on a simple label, so you can bring something much more fun than flowers the next time you are invited to a dinner party. You can use the sauce directly on barbecue food, meat and in sauces. It is incredibly convenient to have in the cupboard when cooking.

IMPORTANT: When making chili sauce, I strongly recommend wearing disposable gloves.

Step 1

Remove all the seeds from the chillies and cut into coarse pieces.

Step 2

Put chili and fresh garlic in a saucepan with neutral oil and heat on medium heat for about 5 minutes. Add water and cook for another 5 minutes. Add the rest of the ingredients and cook for another 5 minutes. Run smoothly with a hand mixer and cool down.

Step 3

Pour into some nice clean bottles. Put in the fridge. This sauce has a very good durability in the refrigerator. This recipe corresponds to about 7 dl finished chili sauce.

Good luck and remember this is a strong sauce!
