My best Taco meat - Juicy, tender and incredibly good taste!

Replace the minced meat and industrially produced taco powder! Try to make proper taco meat.

  • 1 kg high ribs of bull
  • 2 pcs onion
  • 5 cloves garlic
  • 2 pcs red chili
  • 2 tbsp taco powder
  • 6 dl water
  • salt and pepper
  • neutral oil

Tacos are a very popular dish. I think tacos are very good even because you can combine lots of good flavors and ingredients. Making proper taco meat raises this dish many notches! Here I cook proper meat tender in good flavors and the result is an incredibly good taco meat.

Step 1

Buy high ribs of bull and divide into medium-sized pieces. I remove tendons, but leave all the fat on the meat. (Medium-sized pieces are about 2-3 cm x 2-3 cm). Season the meat with plenty of salt and freshly ground pepper.

Step 2

Find a good frying pan and add a little neutral oil. Fry little and little meat on high heat so you get a good crust on all sides of the meat.

Step 3

Find a large pan and finely chop the vegetables. Put the vegetables in the pan and cook for a few minutes until the onion has become shiny and soft. Add the homemade taco seasoning and cook for a few minutes until the spices release as much flavor as possible. Step 4

Put the meat in the pan and pour on the water.

Step 5

Now the meat should simmer without a lid for about 3 hours.

Step 6

When almost all the liquid has evaporated and the meat can be shredded with two forks, the taco meat is ready. Taste with a little more salt and serve. Feel free to make a large portion and save the rest for the next taco dinner. Good luck!
