This is the type of drink that when you order it, the bartender looks at you with respect and understanding.
In 1919 asked Grev Camillo Negroni, a bartender at Florence's Caffè,if he coulde switch the soda in his Americano cocktail with gin. And just like that, the Negroni was created.
Ingredients
- 2 cl gin
- 2 cl martini rosso
- 2 cl campari / aperol
- Ice cubes
Step 1
Pour a whiskey glass half full with ice. Then you add Gin, Campari and red Martini. Cut a tiny piece of orange peel and twist it over the drink. This adds some extra aroma from the orange and a freshness to the drink. Stir well and serve.
TIPS: Try it with a lemon og lime slice for extra acidity and taste. I have also made Negroni with Aperol instead of Campari, because that is what I usually have in my bar cabinet.
