Pea soup with catfish and bacon - delicious and nutritious soup
I am very fond of soups. Especially now in the slightly dark and cold period, it tastes great with a delicious soup.
Ingredients
- 1 bag frozen green peas
- 5 skiver bacon
- 600 gram catfish fillet
- 1 pcs shallots
- 1 pcs red chili
- 1 liter chicken broth
- 3 tbsp butter
- salt and pepper
In addition, there is a lot of nutrition and has lots of vitamins and fish. The salty crispy pieces of bacon top the soup and make this almost a feast. The nice thing is that you can easily make this soup in 20 minutes. Enjoy dinner or treat yourself to something good for supper one day.
Step 1
Start by finding a pan and a frying pan. Pour a little neutral oil into the pan. Chop the shallots and chili and add to the pan. Cook until golden and pour in the chicken broth. Let the broth simmer.
Step 2
Find a pan of water and bring to the boil. When the water boils, pour on the peas. Let cook for about 5 minutes. It is important not to cook for too long to keep the nice color. Find a frying pan and fry the bacon until it is crispy. Lay on paper towels so the grease gets clean.
Step 3
Cut the fish into smaller cubes (suitable to have on a spoon) and fry in the bacon fat. Make sure that the fish is not fried for too long. Bake for about 2-3 minutes.
Step 4
When the peas are cooked, pour off the water and add the butter. Run the peas smoothly with a hand mixer. Also run the chicken broth with the hand mixer so the onion and chili are almost gone.
Step 5
Now pour the pea puree into the pan with broth and run again with the hand mixer. Season with salt and pepper.
Step 6
Put the fish pieces in a soup bowl and pour over the soup. Sprinkle with bacon and finish with a few drops of olive oil. Now it's time to enjoy a delicious soup! Good luck.
