Pickled Padron - Perfect for tapas, snacks or tacos
Pickling is very fun, gives long keeping quality and tastes very good!
Ingredients
- 1 bag Padron
- 2 dl vinegar
- 4 dl sugar
- 6 dl water
- 1 tbsp whole black pepper
- 1 tbsp coriander seeds
- 1 tbsp mustard seeds
Pickling is done quickly and you have the pleasure for a long time. I pickle many different ingredients and this one with padron was very good! Padron is like a mixture of paprika and chili and has a very good taste. The finished result is crispy, sour and sweet padron with a taste of spices. These are not strong and are suitable for everyone and for many dishes.
Step 1
Start by rinsing the padron in cold water and letting it dry on some kitchen paper. Pour all the ingredients for the pickle into a saucepan and bring the water to a boil. Use a sharp knife and punch several holes in each padron. This is for the sugar brine to soak in. Place the padron tightly in a jam jar and pour over boiling sugar brine. Press them down and wait until it stops bubbling. Refill so all the padron is covered with the pickle.
Step 2
Allow to cool slightly and put in the fridge. After 24 hours, the pickled padron is ready to be enjoyed. These have a very good keeping durability and can be stored in the refrigerator for several months.
