Put the potatoes on the grill - Make grilled potatoes!
For me, it is a great pleasure in the summer to cook outside. When I grill (which I do quite often) I like to make as much food as possible outside. The potatoes are no exception. Grilled potatoes are very good and the taste of smoke and grill gives them a taste of summer! This is a very simple recipe.
Ingredients
- 1 kg potatoes
- 1 pcs whole garlic
- 1 pcs red chili
- 1 tbsp butter
- dried chili seeds
- smoked paprika powder
- salt and pepper
Step 1
Start by finding a grill pan or a fireproof pan. It is of course important that this pan can withstand high heat since it is to be on the grill.
Step 2
Wash the potatoes well and dry them. I do not bother to peel these potatoes. Divide the potatoes into suitably large pieces. Put all the potatoes in the pan.
Step 3
Divide the garlic in half in the middle. This gives you baked garlic and it flavors the oil that the potatoes enjoy. So use lots of garlic in this dish. Sprinkle on some dried chili seeds and smoked peppers. Roughly chop the fresh chili and add to the potatoes. Pour on a little oil and mix well. Finish by adding a little butter. These potatoes take some time on the grill so you can put this on before everything else. How long it takes will depend on the temperature you have on the grill, but calculate between 1-2 hours. Taste occasionally so you know when they are ready.
Step 4
If you are going to grill a larger piece of meat, it is perfect to put the potatoes under the meat. Then the good flavors flow from the meat and the fat flows straight down on the potatoes.
Step 5
Grill until they get a golden and nice color on the outside and are soft and good inside. A simple and very good accessory for the barbecue dinner.
