Sausages in pesto - Simple and popular everyday dinner with crispy vegetables!

This is a very simple dish that is perfect for weekdays. The taste is very good and is equally suitable for young and old. Here you can of course use other vegetables you have available, but I have taken some I always have in the fridge. When the vegetables are fried together with sausages and mixed with the good sauce, this quickly becomes a popular dish for the little ones as well. Serve with pasta or rice.

  • 4 pcs smoked meat sausages
  • 3 pcs carrot
  • 1 pcs onion
  • 1 pcs cauliflower
  • 2 dl creme fraiche
  • 2 tbsp pesto
  • 1 dl water
  • salt and pepper
  • a little lime juice
  • a little neutral oil for frying

Step 1

Start by finding a frying pan or saucepan. Turn on fairly high heat and add a little neutral oil. I put in the vegetables as soon as they are cut. Start by cutting the onion and place in the pan.

Cut the sausages into slices and add to the onion.

Cut the carrots into thin slices and place in the pan. Since this dish has a short roast and cooking time, it is smart to cut the carrots into thin slices.

Finish by cutting cauliflower into small bouquets and add to the pan. Season with a little salt and pepper.

Bake the mixture for a few minutes until it has a slightly golden color. Stir regularly when frying.

Mix together sour cream, pesto, water and lime juice. Pour into the pan with the sausages and vegetables.

Step 7

Let cook for a few minutes. Remember to stir occasionally so that it does not burn at the bottom of the pan. Season with salt and pepper. Serve with pasta, rice or a salad. This is a super everyday dinner that is very quick to make. Good luck.
