Scallops on the grill - Summer food that delights and tastes!
Perfect scallops with a wonderful sauce!
Ingredients
- 12 pcs scallops
- 1 pcs lemon
- 1 tbsp neutral oil
- 3 tbsp butter
- 3 cloves garlic
- 1 dl fresh parsley
- a little fresh dill
- salt and pepper
I love to cook outside and use the grill several times a week. I have served this recipe in many companies and is always one of the most popular if I serve barbecue. Grilling gives a super nice crust to the scallops and the sauce is dangerously good with a taste of parsley, lemon and butter. Used as an appetizer or part of a barbecue serving. Here I use an accessory for the grill that I am very fond of; an cast iron pan from Weber. You can buy frozen scallops and thaw, but best if you get fresh scallops. I also made a video that shows the whole process.
Step 1
Start by making ready so you have everything with you for this dish you make in about 10 minutes. I always do this right before serving so guests get steaming hot scallops.
Step 2
The best thing is to finish this dish in front of the guests! Here I have taken the food out to the grill and placed it on the side table.
Step 3
If you have a cast iron pan as an accessory for the grill, it fits perfectly with this dish. If you do not have it, use a frying pan that can withstand high heat on the grill. Grill lemons and some bread on medium heat and add the scallops in the casserole.
Step 4
Fry the scallops until they have a nice crust on one side. This takes 1-2 minutes. Take them out and add the butter and the juice from the lemon straight into the pan. Add garlic and herbs and stir well. Put the scallops back in the pan and wait until they have a core temperature of 45-50 degrees. Then the food is ready to be served. I think it's stylish to serve this dish a little rustic and bring the whole cast iron pan and put it on the table.
I recommend you watch the video I made that shows you the whole process in 1 minute. Good luck!
