Scones with spelt and oats - Finished in 30 minutes !!!

These do not need to be raised and are completed in less than 30 minutes from the start!

  • 450 gram sifted spelt flour
  • 50 gram oatmeal
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 2 tsp sugar
  • 3 tsp baking powder
  • 3 dl water
  • 2,5 dl light sour cream

Incredibly simple and good Scones. These do not have yeast so they do not need to rise. Scones use baking powder and not yeast. This gives a slightly different consistency. This recipe is very simple and good!

Step 1

Start by setting the oven to 220 degrees hot air. Pour all the dry ingredients into a bowl and mix well.

Step 2

Mix together light sour cream and water.

Step 3

Pour the "sour cream water" into the flour mixture and stir well. The dough should have a sticky consistency almost like a thick porridge.

Step 4

Find a baking tray and place on baking paper or silicone paper. Find a spoon and place 8 "lumps" of dough with some distance from each other. Put in the oven about in the middle.

Step 5

Bake for 16-19 minutes until they have a golden and nice color. Let rest for a few minutes on a rack and cut up. Scones can be divided into two and you can use different toppings you like. It is also very good with jam or lemon curd. Good luck.
