Serrano salad - Spanish magic with great flavors!

  • 100 gram Serrano ham
  • 1 pcs honeydew melon
  • 10 pcs small tomatoes
  • 1 pcs red onion
  • 2 dl grilled peppers
  • 0,5 pcs cucumber
  • 1 handful arugula
  • 1 handful croutons
  • 2 tbsp finely chopped parsley
  • freshly ground pepper
  • Spanish olive oil

Serrano ham is an incredibly good Spanish product made from Spanish mountain pigs. Serrano comes from the Spanish word "sierra" and Serrano can be translated as "from the mountain". Serrano is stored longer than regular cured hams and has more flavor and less salt. This makes the product perfect to use for tapas, small dishes, pizza or as a snack. There are also different qualities and shelf life of Serrano ham. In general, my opinion is that Serrano ham is very tender and good tasting. Here you can read more about Serrano ham if you wish. Step 2

Find a large salad bowl. Cut all the ingredients into suitably large pieces. I try to cut in slightly different sizes and shapes. This gives the salad a better consistency and better eating.
