Tom Yum Goong - Thai shrimp soup that tastes fantastic !!!
This soup has lots of delicious taste and is very healthy!
Ingredients
- 500 gram fresh shrimps
- 2 tbsp neutral oil
- 3 cloves garlic
- 1 klump ginger
- 1 pcs lime
- 2 pcs red chilli with seeds
- 2 pcs spring onion
- 0,5 dl fishsauce
- 0,5 dl oystersauce
- 1 handful fresh coriander
This is a taste bomb with lots of nutrition that also costs little. Do not be intimidated by the name, this soup everyone can make. This Thai soup is incredibly good and I really recommend you try it. Serve as dinner, appetizer or as a delicious evening meal.
Step 1
Start by peeling the shrimps. Put the peeled shrimp in a bowl and save on all the shells and heads. Place the peeled shrimps in the fridge until serving.
Step 2
Find a pan and add the oil. When the oil starts to smoke, I put in all the shell / heads and stir well. Bake for a few minutes on high heat.
Step 3
When the shrimp shells are frying, I cut up the ginger, garlic, chili, galangal and the base of the spring onions. Pour this over the shell and cook for a few more minutes.
Step 4
Measure out fish sauce and oyster sauce and add to the pan. Pour in 1 liter of water and cook without a lid for 50 minutes. Strain the soup and add the juice of 1/2 lime.
Step 5
Taste if you want more acid in the dish. Then you take a little more lime juice. Finely chop the top of the spring onion and chili into thin strips.
Step 6
Pour the hot soup into plates, add the shrimps just before serving and sprinkle with spring onions and chili. Finish with some fresh coriander and serve. This is an incredibly good soup !! Good luck.
