Veal is very good and fits perfectly on the grill!
Ingredients
- 2 pakker Smak forskjellen entrecôte of veal
- 9 pcs potatoes
- 1 pack small tomatoes
- salt and pepper
Herb dressing
- 3 cloves garlic
- 1 pcs red chili
- 2 pcs shallots
- 1 pinch salt
- 1 handful fresh parsley
- 1 handful fresh coriander
- 1 handful fresh oregano
- 2 tsp white balsamic vinegar
- 3 tbsp good olive oil
- 1 tbsp honey
Now that the barbecue season is underway, I usually grill several days a week. Today I show how you can easily and simply make a very good dinner of entrcôte of veal. Entrecôte has a little more fat and is perfect for grilling. Served with grilled potatoes and a taste bomb of an herbal dressing.
Step 1
Start by rinsing the potatoes and cutting off a thin slice on each side of the potato. In this way, it lies well on the grill. Boil for about 15 minutes and pour off the water. Grease a little oil and now the potatoes are ready for grilling. It is smart to use hard-boiled potatoes when cooking and grilling them.
Step 2
Take the meat out of the package and cut off any tendons. Do not remove the fat as this will give the good taste when grilled. Grease with a little oil and season well with pepper and salt. Now the meat is ready for grilling.
Step 3
Now it's time to make the herbal dressing. You get the best results if you use a mortar and crush all the good herbs together, but it works great and use a food processor or hand mixer. Mix all the ingredients together and mix until smooth. Dilute with olive oil and season with white balsamic vinegar. If you do not have white balsamic vinegar, you can use lemon or lime to get some acid in the dressing.
Step 4
Fry the meat on direct heat for about 2 minutes on each side. Transfer the meat to indirect heat. Spread herb dressing on the meat and place the potatoes on direct heat until they get a golden and nice color before you turn them. Fry the potatoes on both sides and move to a place on the grill where they are not directly above the heat.
Step 5
Cook the meat until it reaches a core temperature of between 55-57 degrees. Take the meat off the grill and let it rest for 10 minutes before cutting it up.
Step 6
Now it is ready to serve the food. Put some potatoes and tomatoes on a plate. Cut the meat into neat slices and place over the potatoes. Finish with a little herbal dressing and garnish with a little extra herbs. Now just enjoy a delicious veal dinner. I've made a movie to show you how to make this dish. Watch film below.
